A 45-year-old man was found inside a Nicosia house in the early hours of this morning and arrested after police responded to a report of a possible break-in at the property.
Police received the report at around 1:00 and went to the scene. They entered the house with the assistance of the property manager and found the man inside one of the rooms. He was arrested on the spot for unlawful entry.
A body search revealed various burglary tools as well as other items for which he could not satisfactorily account.
He is being investigated for unlawful entry, unlawful possession of property and unlawful possession of burglary tools.
The man has been remanded in custody to facilitate investigations. Nicosia CID is continuing its inquiries.
