A 32-year-old motorcyclist is in critical condition after crashing on the main Agia Anna-Psevdas road, police said.
Police said that at around 1:00 p.m., the man was riding his motorcycle on the road when, under circumstances still under investigation, he lost control, veered to the right in the direction he was travelling and struck the pavement.
The impact threw the 32-year-old from the motorcycle and left him seriously injured.
Traffic police officers and members of Kofinou police station went to the scene, while the injured man was taken by ambulance to Nicosia general hospital, where he is being treated in a critical condition.
Kofinou police station is continuing its investigation.
