A 63-year-old man is in intensive care in critical condition after being injured in a car park accident in Nicosia yesterday morning.
The incident occurred around 11:30 a.m. in a department store car park, where the man reportedly offered to help a female driver who was trying to park her vehicle.
As he attempted to enter her vehicle, under circumstances being investigated, the car started. The open driver’s door struck an adjacent vehicle and, on its return, trapped the 63-year-old’s neck, police said.
He was transferred by ambulance to Nicosia General Hospital, where he was intubated and admitted to the intensive care unit. His condition is described as extremely critical.
Nicosia Traffic Police are continuing their investigation.
