Man stabbed outside Limassol café recovering as police seek two suspects

A 36-year-old man stabbed in the shoulder during an attack in Limassol last Saturday is out of danger and expected to give a statement to investigators today, the Cyprus News Agency (CNA) reported.

Limassol Police are hunting two men aged 20 and 30 wanted in connection with the attempted murder on Anexartisias Street.

The victim, being treated at a private hospital, has regained consciousness and overcome the danger, police said.

Three men attacked the 36-year-old outside a café on Anexartisias Street. During the altercation, they used electric discharge devices before one drew a knife and stabbed him in the shoulder blade.

The victim and the wanted men had come to police attention in the past.

Following the attempted murder, unknown persons caused damage to the 30-year-old suspect’s barbershop, also located on Independence Street.
