A driver was rescued from the wreckage of his vehicle early Sunday morning after his car veered off the road and plunged into a five-metre-deep ravine in Paphos.
The incident occurred at approximately 2:10 a.m. near the Konia roundabout. According to officials, the private vehicle deviated from its course before falling into the steep embankment.
Members of the Fire Service, working alongside ambulance crews, used hydraulic rescue equipment to extricate the injured man from the vehicle.
He was subsequently handed over to paramedics and transported to the Accident and Emergency Department of Paphos General Hospital for treatment.
A specialized rescue team and vehicle from the Paphos Fire Service responded to the emergency.
