Police arrested a man and seized 23 kilograms of cannabis in a major drugs operation in Trachoni, Limassol district, on Wednesday.
The joint operation between the Drug Law Enforcement Unit (YKAN) at Nicosia headquarters and the Akrotiri British Bases Police also uncovered 250 grams of a substance believed to be cocaine and 26 grams of methamphetamine, police said.
Officers seized two vehicles suspected to be linked to the case during the search.
Assistant Chief of Police for the British Bases Melina Papagregoriou said “the operation represents another blow against organised criminal networks attempting to channel dangerous drugs into local communities”.
The arrested man is due to appear in court again on Monday, 8 December. The investigation continues.
