The Larnaca District Court ordered the remand of a 30-year-old resident from the Larnaca district to facilitate investigations into cases involving vehicle arsons, attempted arson, and malicious damage.
The 30-year-old was arrested yesterday afternoon in connection with the investigation into the attempted arson of a warehouse and the setting of fire to plastic baskets in a village in the Larnaca district.
Evidence was secured against the 30-year-old suggesting his involvement in two other cases of vehicle arsons, which were committed on 16 and 23 December, leading to his arrest for these incidents as well.
The Kofinou Police Station is continuing the examinations.
