After their very successful summer concerts at Curium Ancient Theatre in Limassol and Skali Aglantzias in Nicosia, The Italian Tenors return to the island for a festive programme. Their concert A Touch of Christmas will entertain music lovers in Paphos and the capital this winter with a very special festive repertoire, full of well-known international pop, Italian and Christmas songs.
Their concerts will take place towards the end of the year, at the heart of the Christmas season. First, they will stop by Markideio Theatre on December 28 before taking the stage of Strovolos Municipal Theatre on the following evening.
To present a rich programme full of the holiday spirit, a few special guests will accompany the Italian Tenors. Italian soprano Francesca Lanza, remarkable for her unforgettable interpretation of The Phantom of the Opera song will join them on stage as well as the Principal Dancers of Balletto di Siena, Chiara Gagliardo and Giuseppe Giacalone, bringing a touch of The Nutcracker fairy world.
Meanwhile, vocal trio (Evans Tonon, Luca Sala and Sabino Gaita) will present a varied programme which will include classical sounds of Ennio Morricone, pop rhythms of L’Italiano and Mamma Maria, songs such as Time to Say Goodbye by Andrea Bocelli. Interpretations and original arrangements will fill the two theatres.
“Magical moments await the audience,” say organisers, “evoked by the opulently arranged fireworks of the sounds of those opera and pop gems, combining great music with witty and exciting entertainment during their performances, winning hearts with their Italian charm after only a few notes. Experience a festive journey through the magic and warmth of Christmas time with The Italian Tenors and their guests!”
