Isolated showers expected by afternoon across western Cyprus

The weather is expected to gradually become cloudier on Tuesday, with isolated showers possible in western areas during the afternoon hours, according to the meteorological service.

Winds will blow mainly southwesterly and initially variable, weak to moderate, at a force of 3 to 4 Beaufort. The sea will be slight to moderate, though initially rough in western and northern areas.

Temperatures will reach 15 degrees Celsius inland, around 17 degrees on the coast and 6 degrees in the highest mountains.

On Wednesday, the weather will be cloudy with local rain and isolated thunderstorms, whilst snow or sleet is expected to fall on the highest Troodos peaks.

On New Year’s Day, the weather will be partly cloudy with isolated showers initially expected in western areas. On Friday, the weather will be mainly clear.

Temperatures are not expected to show a significant change until Thursday, when they will remain close to average seasonal values, before dropping slightly on Friday.
