Iran war: Over 40 Cyprus flights cancelled today

A total of 48 flights to and from Cyprus were cancelled on Sunday as the escalating war in the Middle East forced regional airspace closures.

A spokesperson for Hermes Airports told philenews that 36 flights were cancelled at Larnaca Airport, while 12 were grounded at Paphos Airport.

The cancellations primarily affected routes to Middle Eastern countries that have shut down their skies, with the majority involving flights to and from Israel.

The disruption follows decisions by several major airlines, including Aegean and Wizz Air, to suspend all services to Israel and Gulf nations starting Saturday.
