Impressive temporary waterfall appears at Ayios Neofytos Monastery after intense rain (video)

This is not a permanent waterfall, but it appears during periods of intense and prolonged rainfall in the area. While it may lack the volume of a typical waterfall, it remains a spectacular and unusual sight.

We are talking about the Ayios Neofytos Waterfall. This small but impressive phenomenon lasts only a few hours at the famous Tala Monastery and is observed whenever rainfall is particularly heavy in the region, as happened this morning.

Water cascades impressively and loudly from the mountain that rises right next to the Saint’s Enkleistra (hermitage), falling onto a specially constructed ramp in the square designed to direct the rainwater towards the Monastery’s fields.

The waterfall made its appearance following the torrential rains of this morning. The sight is spectacular.
