Hamas handed over 20 hostages to the Red Cross

The armed wing of Hamas, the Izz al-Din al-Qassam Brigades, announced on Saturday that they had handed over 13 Israeli hostages and seven foreign civilians to the International Committee of the Red Cross.

A Qatari source said that the hostages were already on their way across the border towards the Rafah crossing into Egypt. There they would be met by Israeli officials to be transferred to Israeli territory.

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF), confirmed that 13 Israeli hostages were handed over to Red Cross personnel, according to the IDF spokesperson’s office.
