Cyprus faces an unsettled spell through the weekend, with patchy cloud, localised showers and isolated thunderstorms expected to persist into Sunday.
On Thursday, skies will be partly cloudy with local rain and isolated storms. Hail is possible during thunderstorms.
Winds will blow mainly from the north-east to south-east, shifting later to north-west to north-east, at force 3 to 4 — strengthening temporarily to force 5 along the coast and liable to intensify further during storms. Seas will be rough at times.
Temperatures will reach around 19°C inland and on the coast, dropping to around 10°C on the higher mountain peaks.
Friday, Saturday and Sunday will see continued spells of localised rain and isolated thunderstorms, with hail again possible during storms. Snow or sleet is forecast on the highest Troodos peaks.
Temperatures on Friday will remain at similar levels before dipping slightly on Saturday to just below seasonal averages, where they are expected to stay on Sunday.
