Government opens fire damage claims with 1 August deadline for affected farmers

The Department of Agriculture will begin accepting damage claims from 26 July 2025 for agricultural losses caused by the fires in the Limassol district, with submissions required by 1 August 2025.

Claims forms are available at the Limassol Provincial Agricultural Office and online at http://www.moa.gov.cy/da under “Schemes and Applications”. Damage declarations are required only for fire-affected crops not previously declared in 2025 CAP area subsidy applications.

Property owners, tenants, or managers of affected agricultural operations must submit completed damage declaration forms to the Limassol Provincial Agricultural Office by the deadline.

The Department of Agriculture will operate additional collection points at affected community councils from 26-29 July (Saturday through Tuesday) between 7:30am-2:30pm in:

  • Agios Amvrosios
  • Agios Georgios Sylikou
  • Alassa
  • Vouni
  • Omodos
  • Pachna

An additional collection point will operate at KEO offices in Malia community during the same period.

Applicants unable to submit within the deadline due to force majeure circumstances may submit through representatives or, in exceptional cases, via fax (25306638 or 25338722) or email ([email protected]). Original declarations must be submitted as soon as possible for validity.

Claimants must provide:

  • Property title or legal management/rental documentation for affected plots, or property owner statements from Community Councils
  • Copy of International Bank Account Number (IBAN) in applicant’s name
