Limassol is set to host the Cyprus edition of Unicorn Pitches: AI-Powered Real World Innovation on 3 December.
According to the organisers, the event, part of the world’s largest startup pitch contest network, Unicorn.Events, aims to showcase Cyprus’s evolving status as an international business hub.
The Unicorn.Events competition network unites 125 countries, facilitates over 500 events, and has historically helped participating startups attract more than $1 billion in funding. The Limassol event will feature 15 entrepreneurs pitching their innovative solutions to an international jury of investors and venture capital experts from Europe, the U.S., and the Middle East.
The winner of the Limassol event will earn a coveted spot at the Unicorn Cup Semifinals in San Francisco in 2026 and will go on to represent Cyprus at the Global Unicorn Battle in Los Angeles, USA, in 2026.
Andrii Moroz, organiser of Unicorn Pitches Limassol, emphasised the event’s purpose: “Our goal is to show the world that Cyprus is not only a place for leisure and business, but also a true innovation hub—where global ideas and local talent thrive together. Cyprus has everything needed to create the next generation of success stories.”
The competition is specifically targeting startups and teams working in key technology sectors, including AI, Fintech, Blockchain, and Sustainable Technologies. Interested applicants must apply through the official Unicorn.Events form by the end of November.
The competition is organised in Limassol by the Cyprus Business Club, a professional community dedicated to connecting entrepreneurs, investors, and innovators.
Tetiana Diachenko, Founder of the Cyprus Business Club, stated that the partnership “combines the global experience of Unicorn.Events with the strength of Cyprus’s local business community,” calling it an important step toward positioning Cyprus as a regional hub for innovation and investment.
The event is expected to gather over 300 investors, founders, and innovators from more than 10 countries. Beyond recognition, participating startups will gain crucial access to venture funds, global exposure, and international partnerships. The Cyprus Business Club, the event’s organiser, also managed the Cypriot delegation to the World Economic Forum in Davos this year.
