France: Six airports evacuated after bomb threats

The French authorities have been alerted about simultaneous bomb threats at six airports.

According to initial reports, Lille, Nice, Lyon, and Toulouse airports have been evacuated, with the website airlive.net adding that the same has happened at the airports of Nantes and Beauvais.

As Le Monde reports, all six airports were sent e-mails reporting a “threat of attack.”

Passengers inside the airports were ordered to evacuate while those on board aircraft were instructed to remain in their seats.

A short time later in Nice, there was an end to the alarm as police officers located and destroyed an abandoned object in Terminal 1.

It should be noted that in previous days there have been threatening phone calls about bombs at museums and monuments in France.
