Hermes Airports has confirmed that over 50 arrivals and departures at Larnaca and Paphos airports will be affected by Thursday’s general strike from 11:00 to 14:00.
The total number of passengers whose flights will be impacted is expected to exceed 15,000, the airport operator announced.
Over 15,000 passengers face flight disruptions
Hermes Airports is urging the public to monitor its announcements and contact their airline or travel agent directly for information about new departure or arrival times.
Updated flight schedules will be posted on the Hermes Airports website at www.hermesairports.com when announced.
Jazeera Airways and Qatar Airways flights cancelled
Due to the strike, the following flights have been cancelled: Jazeera Airways to and from Kuwait (JZR345/JZR346), Qatar Airways to and from Doha (QTR265/QTR266), and Emirates from Dubai to Larnaca and from Larnaca to Malta (UAE109).
Hermes Airports confirmed that arrangements have been made with ground handling companies to ensure additional staff will be in position when the strike ends at 14:00 to serve the increased number of passengers.
