The installation of the photovoltaic park at the Nicosia General Hospital will complete its first phase on January 7, with the second phase expected to conclude sometime in March.
Upon completion, the photovoltaic park will have a capacity of 1.3 MWp, with the total cost of the project – falling under the framework of the Recovery and Resilience Plan – amounting to €1.8 million plus VAT.
According to a press release from the State Health Service (Okypy), the project involves the installation of the photovoltaic park and the creation of covered parking spaces at the Nicosia general hospital.
The park is part of Okypy’s broader strategic plan.
“By embracing renewable energy sources and modernising its infrastructure, the Nicosia General Hospital is taking a crucial step towards upgrading healthcare facilities and ensuring better patient services,” the Okypy statement said.
“This forward-thinking initiative showcases the hospital’s dedication to a greener and more sustainable future while maintaining its primary focus on providing top-notch healthcare services to the community.”
