EAC continues smart meter rollout across Cyprus in January

The Electricity Authority of Cyprus (EAC) is continuing the mass installation of smart meters in January across all regions in Nicosia, Limassol, Larnaca, Famagusta and Paphos.

The EAC announced that safe meter replacement requires a power supply interruption for a period not expected to exceed 20 minutes.

In Nicosia during January, smart meters will be installed in Strovolos, specifically in the area between Strovolos Avenue, Grivas Digenis Avenue, Agios Prokopios Street and Archangelos Michael Street.

In Limassol, meters will be installed in the area on either side of Archbishop Leontiou A’ Avenue, between Archbishop Makarios III Avenue and Monis Machera, Tagmatarchou Pouliou, Demosthenous Mitsi, Navarinous, Gladstonos, Agias Zonis and Thessalonikis Streets.

In Larnaca, installations will take place in the coastal area of Larnaca-Livadia-Oroklini-Pyla, on either side of Ammochostos Avenue (Dhekelia Road).

In Famagusta, work will cover Paralimni in the area on either side of Protaras Avenue at the height of Agia Varvara church, the Kapparis area from the height of Agia Triada roundabout to Konstantinou Karamanli Street, and Protaras, on either side of Protaras-Cape Greco Avenue from the height of Protaras Avenue to the height of Symis Street in the Profitis Ilias area.

In Paphos, installations will take place on either side of Tombs of the Kings Avenue and between Apostolou Pavlou Avenue up to the height of Chlorakas Municipal Boundaries.
