The Electricity Authority of Cyprus (EAC) is continuing the mass installation of smart meters across all districts in December as part of modernising the electricity network and upgrading services to consumers.
According to an EAC announcement, the works concern the following areas:
Nicosia
- Strovolos
- Area between Stavrou Avenue, Spyrou Kyprianou Avenue and Strovolos Avenue
- Either side of Tseriou, Stavrou and Strovolos Avenues
- Gallou Presvi area
- Lakatamia: Between Spyrou Kyprianou Avenue and Hippocrates Street up to the boundaries of Lakatamia Airport
Limassol
- Limassol – Mesa Geitonia – Agios Athanasios
- South of Agios Athanasios Industrial Area
- Either side of Agios Athanasios and Georgios Grivas Digenis Streets
Larnaca
- Areas between Grigori Afxentiou Avenue, Chrysopolitissa Street, Archbishop Kyprianos Avenue up to the port roundabout
Famagusta
- Protaras: Profitis Ilias area
- Either side of Protaras–Cape Greco Avenue up to the height of Protaras Avenue
Paphos
- Areas between Poseidonos, Apostolou Pavlou, Agion Anargyron and Melina Mercouri Avenues
The EAC reminds consumers that safe replacement of the meter requires temporary power cuts, which are not expected to exceed 20 minutes.
