The Danish government said on Thursday Stephanie Lose of the Liberal Party would become minister of economy in a partial reshuffle that also saw two other ministers added to the cabinet.
The changes were triggered by the resignation last month of former economy minister Jakob Ellemann-Jensen from the government as well as from the job of leading the Liberals.
Recently appointed Liberal Party leader Troels Lund Poulsen, who had temporarily held two ministerial posts, will give up the economy job while keeping the position of defence minister. He also remains deputy prime minister.
Mia Wagner, an investor best known in public for her role on the Danish rendition of business reality TV show Shark Tank, will become minister for digitalisation and gender equality, the government said.
Morten Dahlin, a member of Denmark’s parliament for the Liberals, will meanwhile become minister for ecclesiastical affairs, rural districts and Nordic cooperation.
The Liberal Party has seen a decline in political polls since entering Denmark’s coalition government in 2022.
