Cyprus weather: Clear skies with isolated mountain showers

The weather on Thursday will be mainly fine following the dissipation of local low cloud and thin fog, with isolated mountain showers possible during the afternoon, according to the Department of Meteorology.

Local increased cloud cover will develop primarily in mountainous areas from midday onwards, where isolated rain showers may occur.

Winds will blow mainly southwestern to northwestern, initially locally variable, weak to moderate at 3-4 Beaufort scale, temporarily reaching strong conditions of 5 Beaufort in southeastern coastal areas during afternoon hours.

The sea will be smooth to slight.

Temperatures will reach approximately 36 degrees Celsius in inland areas, 31 degrees on western coasts, around 33 degrees on remaining coastal areas, and 27 degrees in higher mountainous regions.

Temperature patterns show no significant change expected on Friday, with a slight decrease on Saturday and negligible variation on Sunday, remaining close to the average for the season.
