Health Minister Popi Kanari unveiled a new children’s health awareness campaign on Tuesday called the Children’s Protection Shield.
The aim of the campaign is to raise awareness of the impact of the environment and of polluted air on the health of people, particularly children.
Kanari said that the campaign will aim to inform people about the negative impact on children of inhaling tobacco smoke as well as the byproducts of electronic cigarettes.
It is hoped that this will curb levels of addiction among young people in the future.
