A car overturned and landed in a ditch on the main road to Athienou, at the entrance to the municipality, shortly after midnight on Wednesday, leaving one person trapped inside.
The Fire Service received the call at 00:08 and dispatched a fire engine and rescue vehicle to the scene.
Firefighters freed the trapped person in cooperation with the Ambulance Service, who then took the individual to the accident and emergency department at Larnaca General Hospital.
The cause of the collision is under investigation.
