A fire broke out in a parked car in the Engomi area of Nicosia yesterday evening around 7:30 p.m., damaging the front of the vehicle.
Fire services were called to the scene and extinguished the blaze. Initial examinations by the Cyprus Police indicate the 32-year-old owner had parked the vehicle earlier and reported that it had been experiencing mechanical problems.
Police secured the scene, which was scheduled for a further examination this morning to determine the exact cause of the fire. The Nicosia Criminal Investigation Department (CID) is investigating the case.
