Buggy driver seriously injured after plunging 40 metres down ravine in Paphos

A buggy driver was seriously injured on Saturday after the vehicle plunged around 40 metres down a ravine in Paphos district.

The incident occurred on the Kathikas-Peyia road, where the vehicle veered off the road on a double bend under circumstances being investigated and ended up in the ravine, police said.

Fire service members and an ambulance were called to the scene and freed the injured driver from the vehicle. The driver was taken by ambulance to hospital in a serious condition.
