British Airways released more details regarding the expansion of its flight services to Cyprus from both London Gatwick and London Heathrow airports.
Flights from London Gatwick Airport to Paphos will see a significant increase. Starting this winter season, British Airways will operate 2 flights per week to Paphos. For the summer season of 2024, the airline has announced increased flight availability with daily flights to Paphos.
The company is also set to increase its flights to Cyprus from London Heathrow. In the winter season, the airline will make available 15 flights per week to Larnaca, with two flights available per day, while on Saturdays, three flights will be available.
In the summer of 2024, British Airways announced 28 flights per week from London Heathrow to Larnaca. Two flights per week for Paphos from London Heathrow will also be available during the summer season.
Tourism Deputy Minister Kostas Koumis welcomed the decision by British Airways to turn its flight schedule to an all-year-round route.
In comments made during the World Travel Market (WTM) exhibition in London last week, he said: “The decision by giants of the British tourism market to expand their summer schedule to the 15th November is something really encouraging for Cyprus’ tourism”.
