The British government has blocked US rapper Kanye West from entering the United Kingdom on the grounds that his presence would not be conducive to the public good, the BBC’s Nick Eardley reported on Tuesday.
The move follows a wave of criticism directed at organisers of London’s Wireless music festival after West, who now goes by the name Ye, was announced as a headline act. West has faced repeated censure over antisemitic remarks and public expressions of admiration for Nazism, which have led to his accounts being suspended on multiple social media platforms, including X, on several occasions.
