Blast in Greek capital damages buildings, one injured

One individual was injured and several other buildings had been broken by an explosion on Syngrou Avenue in central Athens that led to a hearth early on Wednesday, officers and witnesses stated.

One individual has suffered burns and has been transferred to hospital, the pinnacle of employees on the Nationwide Heart for Emergency Care, Giorgos Mathiopoulos, advised Skai TV.

It was not instantly clear what triggered the blast or the fireplace, a hearth brigade official stated.

“We now have a hearth, there was a blast earlier than that,” stated a hearth brigade commander on the scene.

“We don’t know what brought about it but, there’s prolonged materials injury, and a hearth began,” a hearth brigade official advised Skai TV.
