Bird Aviation announces further expansion with third hangar at Larnaca Airport

Bird Aviation is moving forward with its next phase of expansion at the old Larnaca Airport, with the construction of a third hangar. The project will introduce a fourth bay dedicated to narrow-body aircraft and will be located next to the company’s existing premises.

Scheduled for completion by November 2025, the new facility will build on the company’s ongoing growth strategy and rising demand from long-standing and new airline partners. Once completed, the additional bay will further strengthen Bird Aviation’s operational capacity and flexibility, allowing it to accommodate more aircraft simultaneously.

“This project reflects both the confidence of our clients and the momentum we have built as a team,” said Mr. Frederic Pralus, CEO of Bird Aviation. “Adding a fourth bay will allow us to continue delivering timely, high-quality service while also planning ahead for the next stages of our development.”

This new hangar follows the recent completion of the company’s second facility, underlining Bird Aviation’s steady growth as a provider of MRO services in the EMEA region.

Operating since 2016, Bird Aviation provides MRO (Maintenance, Repair, Overhaul) services for aircraft, certified by EASA and various national Civil Aviation Authorities. Today, the company employs over 200 professionals and collaborates with some of the largest airlines in Europe and the wider region.
