The international military air exercise Jason Blue Sun has been completed, the Cyprus national guard announced on Sunday.
The exercise took place from Sunday to Thursday as part of a defence agreement with Israel.
According to the national guard, Israeli helicopters used the Andreas Papandreou airbase in Paphos, from where soldiers from the two countries carried out various exercises.
The aim of the exercise was to train members of the national guard and increase their preparedness for operations in the air.
Chief of the national guard Lieutenant General Demokritos Zervakis said the exercise underlined and boosted the important military ties between Cyprus and Israel, ensuring the security of the Middle East.
