Big demonstration for Britain’s return to the European Union

Thousands of supporters of Britain’s return to the European Union marched in central London on Saturday.

Hundreds of people dressed in blue and carrying EU flags filled the pavements before marching through the city streets.

Around 3,000 people took part in the march, with the final destination, as reported by the Independent, being Parliament Square where speakers, including former Belgian Prime Minister Guy Ferhofstadt, addressed the gathered crowd.

Protesters held placards before the march expressing their displeasure at leaving the EU, including “The road to rejoining the EU starts here.”
