The application process for subsidy programmes encouraging the household use of renewable energy sources, including the “Photovoltaics for All” scheme, has been officially launched.
This grant scheme is designed to financially support the installation of photovoltaic systems and/or the insulation of roofs in existing dwellings.
The programmes are structured into several categories, each tailored to different needs:
- Category A1: This general category for photovoltaics offers a subsidy of €375 per kW, with a cap at €1,500 for installations up to 4kW, and includes a 50% increase in support for residences in mountainous regions.
- Category A2: Targeted at vulnerable households, this category provides a subsidy of €1,250 per kW, with the total grant not exceeding €6,250 for a 5kW system.
- Category A3: The “Photovoltaics for All” category extends a grant of €250 per kW, with a maximum grant of €1,000 for a 4kW system, plus an additional investment rebate of €1,000 per kW, up to a total of €4,000.
- Category B1: For roof insulation in the general category, applicants can receive a 50% subsidy, up to a maximum of €2,500, or €25.00 per square meter, with a 50% increase for those in mountainous areas.
- Category B2: Specifically for vulnerable households requiring roof insulation, this category offers a 75% grant, with a maximum of €3,750, or €37.50 per square meter.
A notable feature of the scheme is the one-off bonus of €750 awarded when both photovoltaic and roof insulation investments are made on the same property.
Applications are to be submitted exclusively online via the energy conservation fund’s website and should be made before commencing the investments.
Both Greek and English submissions are accepted.
Applicants are urged to thoroughly review the scheme’s provisions and the detailed information available on the website before applying.
