All animals culled at Livadia farms after foot-and-mouth cases detected

Authorities have culled all animals at farms in Livadia that tested positive as part of measures to contain the spread of foot-and-mouth disease.

According to the Ministry of Agriculture, no new cases have been recorded so far.

The ministry’s update followed tensions between livestock farmers and Veterinary Services staff at a farm, when officials arrived to cull animals kept there.
