ALCO Filters has renewed for one more year its collaboration with Vladimiros Tziortzis, the Cypriot racing driver of Italian Academy Motorsports who will also compete in 2024 in the Nascar Whelen Euro Series championship in the EuroNASCAR PRO category.
“ALCO Filters has been a loyal supporter of rally racing since the 1980s. We have supported Vladimiros since his SMP Formula 4 debut in 2016 and we are proud of his progress since then and wish him every success in the Nascar Whelen Euro Series 2024,” said Loizos Louca, Executive Director of ALCO Filters.
“To be trusted by a recognised Cypriot company in the automotive sector, for me personally it is a great honour”, explained Vladimiros. “I would like to thank ALCO Filters for the trust, in a year that finds me as ready as ever and my main goal of course is to win the EURONASCAR PRO European Championship.”
Based on the sponsorship, ALCO Filters will be displayed in Cyprus and abroad through Tziortzis’ racing uniform and helmet, as well as on the Chevrolet Camaro V8 car with the number 5 on the doors that he will drive in all the races of the championship, which this year will visit Spain, United Kingdom, Italy, Netherlands, Czech Republic, Germany and Belgium, where the number of spectators is expected to exceed 200,000.
This year’s duties will start for Tziortzis from next Sunday where he will take part in development tests in Italy where his team is based, after the changes made based on the new regulations of the championship. As a result, ALCO Filters continues to be the longest-standing supporter of Tziortzis, supporting him for a fifth year.
ALCO Filters operates in the automotive sector in 70 countries. It is a Cypriot company that produces 3,500 different air, oil, fuel, cabin and hydraulic filters for cars, trucks, buses, agricultural machinery and other internal combustion engines.
