Joe Biden needed help from a guard at wreath-laying ceremony

Joe Biden’s appearance yesterday at a wreath-laying ceremony at Arlington National Cemetery on the occasion of Veterans’ Day caused intense commentary in the American media.

According to the New York Post, which published the video, Biden needed help from a member of the honor guard to place the wreath at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. He then began to walk away from the spot, but eventually shortened his steps and walked back to the soldier as if to say something to him. The honor guard member raised his hand pointing to where Kamala Harris was standing a few feet away, and Biden slowly returned to his seat next to the vice president.
