“Photovoltaics for All” coming at the end of October

At the end of October, the final financing program for residential electricity consumers for the installation of rooftop photovoltaics without initial capital, called “Photovoltaics for All,” will be announced, the Insider was informed.

The program, as the energy minister told Ant1 TV, will be included in the new package of anti-poverty measures being promoted by the government.

The program will be aimed at all residential consumers with homes that can accommodate photovoltaics. Repayments will be made in bi-monthly installments, as savings from reduced electricity consumption from the EAC grid will be used.

It is recalled that the financing of the project will not be done through bank loans but through the Renewable Energy Sources and Energy Conservation Fund.

This Fund will pay the cost of purchasing and installing the photovoltaic system and after installation, the household will start paying the bi-monthly installments through the bills of the AHK or other licensed electricity supplier.

The installment is estimated at approximately 150 euros per two months, which households will cover by the serious reduction in the cost of electricity supply to their home due to the use of the photovoltaic system.

Households will also be eligible for a state subsidy of up to EUR 1,500.
