The Health Ministry on Friday said three COVID-19-related deaths were recorded in Cyprus this past week (October 21-27), while new infections totalled 2,821 out of 64,528 tests.
The positivity rate stood at 4.37%, the Ministry said.
The three deaths concern two women, aged 82 and 87, and one man 90.
The total number of deaths due to COVID-19 rose to 1,194, with the total number of cases since the beginning of the pandemic amounting to 599,118.
Furthermore, the number of patients currently treated in hospitals for COVID-19 stands at 59, of whom eight are in serious condition.
Meanwhile, four patients who have ceased to be infectious continue to be intubated due to COVID in an Intensive Care Unit.
