Four businesses and 17 individuals were fined in the past 24 hours for violations of measures against the further spread of COVID-19, the Cyprus Police told CNA on Monday.
According to a Police spokesperson, 2,039 checks were carried out in total, in all districts.
In Nicosia, six individuals were fined during 631 checks while the manager of a business was booked after found working without a SafePass.
No violations were recorded in Limassol where 155 checks were carried out.
In Larnaca, 387 checks were carried out and eight persons were fined but also a business after staff was found to work without a mask.
Another two businesses were fined in Pafos for non-use of mask by staff. In total, 122 checks were carried out in the district.
Three individuals were fined during 425 checks in the Famagusta district while no violations were recorded in the Morphou area where 159 checks were carried out.
The Traffic Police carried out 151 checks, and another nine were carried out by the Port and Naval Police but no violations were recorded.
