Twenty residents and eight institution homeowners or managers have been fined by Police throughout Cyprus within the final 24 hours after 2,149 checks for violation of COVID-19 measures.
A Police Spokesperson instructed CNA that in Nicosia in 644 checks, 11 residents and two institution homeowners have been fined in Nicosia, whereas in Limassol from 182 checks 4 people and 4 institution homeowners have been reported.
In Larnaca from 492 checks, three residents and one institution proprietor have been fined whereas in Pafos after 127 checks two extra people and yet another institution proprietor have been reported. In Famagusta and Morphou, after 323 and 194 checks respectively, no fines have been issued. The Visitors Police additionally carried out 187 checks with no fines issued.
