Planes wrestle to land at London’s Heathrow airport in excessive winds

Some airplanes struggled to land in excessive winds at London’s Heathrow airport on Friday (February 18) as Storm Eunice battered Britain.

Footage broadcast by Jet TV confirmed incoming passenger jets being buffeted by gusts of wind, with some bouncing upon touchdown and others diverting.

Storm Eunice, which started within the central Atlantic and was spun up from the Azores in the direction of Europe by the jet stream, posed a hazard to life, Britain’s Meteorological Workplace stated.

Winds of as much as 100 miles per hour had been reported.
