Abseiling Santas carry festive cheer to youngsters in Rome hospital

Abseiling Santas introduced festive cheer and Christmas presents to youngsters at a hospital in Rome on Thursday (December 23).

The pink troop of Santas, members of the Italian alpine rescue, rappelled down the paediatric ward at Policlinico Umberto I hospital to the delight of youngsters, households and employees watching by means of the home windows and from the bottom.

After finishing three abseils from a chimney and from the roof of the paediatric ward, the Santas went contained in the hospital to ship presents to youngsters.

“It is very important do it, even when we may give them solely three minutes of distraction and happiness on this troublesome scenario,” alpine rescuer Gabriele Vitiello, instructed Reuters.
